What weekly yoga program courses are available at the Retreat?

Adults and teens can choose one of the following courses as their main program:

  • Ashtanga beginners introductory course (Weeks 1 & 2)
  • Ashtanga led beginners (All weeks)
  • Ashtanga mysore practice (All weeks)
  • Yinful yoga (Weeks 1 & 3)
  • Healing Lights meditation (Week 2)
  • Pilates and Yoga (week 2)
  • Handstand&Inversions and Yoga (Week 3)

Each course includes the following classes:
morning practices, lectures, pranayama, meditation, and yoga lab classes.

If you have already booked your weekly yoga program, you do not need to book any other drop-in classes except Asana lab or Extra courses to ensure you have space in them.

Morning mysore, new and intermediate beginners courses and kids’ yoga practice times will be checked in the weekly retreat meetings on Mondays from 19:15-20:00.

What yoga courses are available for Kids and Teens?

Kids yoga for 3-11 year olds:

  • Kids aged 3-6 or 7-11 can attend one daily kids yoga class. Classes are taught in Finnish.

Teens 12-16 years old can attend the following courses taught in English:

  • Ashtanga beginner course according to their interest and experience (Ashtanga intro for beginners, led beginner classes, mysore practice)
  • Pilates (week 2)
  • Handstand&Inversions (week 3)

Teens may also attend other weekly programs if they wish.

To book yoga courses and classes for your children, you need a family account. If your kids have an email address, you can create yoga accounts for them. If they don’t have an email address, you can contact juha@astanga.fi to have the Yogaschool office create yoga accounts for them.

The Yogaschool office must link children’s yoga accounts with their parent’s yoga account. Contact juha@astanga.fi to do this and book your kids’ yoga program.

Retreat passes and booking guide

If you have not yet purchased your retreat pass, you can do so while booking the weekly course:

Open the price list by clicking on ”Summer Retreat Passes” to see the suitable passes and their prices.

Tip: Click on the ”See More” link below the passes to view all price options. Choose the pass you want and proceed to the registration confirmation by clicking the ”Book” button.

Note: Choose the retreat pass corresponding to your own pricing group (regular or discounted price). See the next topic below.

How to purchase retreat passes and book your weekly retreat program – step-by-step guide

  1. First, create your own account in the yoga booking system. We recommend downloading the Helsinki Astanga Yoga School App. The same reservation ID is used in the app and on the astangajooga.fi website. Remember to log in to the app (Log in) in the Member role. Managing course reservations and canceling classes is easiest through the App.
  2. Purchase your retreat yoga pass from the price list table below. The purchase takes place in the Yoga School online store, either via the website or the App. You can pay for your yoga pass online with your payment card. See the instructions below on how to pay for your yoga pass using your employer-provided sports benefits.
  3. Sign up for your Retreat weekly program by clicking the Book button of the course you wish to join. If you have already purchased your retreat yoga pass, it will be shown under My passes. Confirm your booking with your retreat yoga pass. If you don’t have a retreat yoga pass yet, you can choose it at this point from the Summer Retreat Passes menu, see the option section below.

Payment methods and receipts:

When you book your weekly yoga program, the booking system will advise you to pay for the retreat pass online with your payment card. Our booking system accepts only credit/debit cards as online payment methods.

If you wish to use your ePassi or other employer-provided sports benefits/sports app credit (liikuntasaldo/liikuntasetelit), see the guide below.

If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please contact juha@astanga.fi.

You can download your payment receipt/invoice with VAT from your Helsingin Astanga Joogakoulu yoga booking account provided by Bsport.

Option: purchase a retreat pass while booking the weekly course

If you have not yet purchased your retreat pass, you can do so while booking the weekly course:

How to pay your yoga course by bank transfer

You can download the retreat yoga program invoice from your yoga account. If you cannot find the invoice, please contact juha@astanga.fi.

Bank transfer does not automatically acknowledge the course payment. However, you can send a receipt or photo of the payment by email to info@astanga.fi, and we will acknowledge the retreat as paid.

How to pay for your yoga course with employer-provided sports benefits such as Smartum, Edenred, ePassi, etc.:

If you have sports benefits such as Smartum, Virike, ePassi, EazyBreak, Edenred (sports vouchers, payment card or application), you can choose ”Pay Later/On-Site Payment” as the payment method.

You can pay the course fee or part of it to the Astanga Yoga School in Helsinki (an amount of your choice) with your sports benefit application.

Afterward, send the payment receipt by email to info@astanga.fi, and we will credit the sports balance to the course payment since the sports balance payment does not automatically enter into our booking system.

Payment with sports vouchers or an Edenred/Smartum card can be done at the retreat.

Retreat passes are valid for one week period (7 days). Passes are counted in credits for retreat week bookings.

Book your weekly yoga program

  • To book your weekly yoga program in the list below (mysore, led classes, or beginners intro), you need the weekly yoga pass (purchased above).
  • If you want to attend more than one week, you can buy as many weekly yoga passes as you need.
  • When you click the ”Book” button, it opens the booking window, where you can see your retreat pass under ”My passes.” By clicking on that pass, you confirm your booking for the course.
